(That would be Single White Damsel in Distress in Search of Hunky Prince with a Ladder, for those of you not down with the personals abbreviation lingo!)
In other words, this is Rapunzel, whom you may've heard of once or twice in the past, stuck in that darn tower again (but at least this time it's a pretty tower!) and oh-so-tired of letting down her hair! She desperately needs some...HELP! (which just happens to be this week's Illustration Friday theme!)
SO, I had a "Ready to Make Frame" by EK Success, which I painted a lovely color called Pale Portrait Pink. THEN, I tediously (okay, it wasn't SO bad!) cut out each and every one of those little rectangles from a lovely printed and textured cardstock and arranged and glued them to the frame. Then I painted Miss Zel on another piece of lovely printed and textured cardstock, varnished her, and slipped her into the tower-frame. So...the painting is framed with a frame that is actually a part of the painting. Or something like that.
She's going to be part of a series, I think.
Here's another Rapunzel, this one blonde, and a bit dreamier, like, Hmmm, it's so nice to be up here all alone, with the peace, and the quiet.
Wondering exactly what type of shampoo one would use to repair all that damage from princely types climbing her hair,
P.S. My hair is too short for any princely types to climb it. Maybe that is why I'm so very single! Perhaps I'll get some extensions! And lots of Advil, 'cause, yo, someone climbing up your hair? That's got to cause a headache.
