Today, it snowed.
Unfortunately, there wasn't quite enough of the white stuff to fashion a proper snowman. Wait. Let's not kid ourselves. There was barely enough to fashion a proper snowball.
So, since I couldn't make a snowman the traditional way, I whipped up a l'il girl dressed as a snowman in my sketchbook, using a 2H graphite pencil, and a regular old ballpoint pen to do some accenting and outlining after the fact (all without having to bundle up or get frozen fingertips!):
(I couldn't decide about the carrot nose. On one hand, it looks weird. On the other hand, you're not really a snowman without a carrot nose...and, like I said, there's ink involved now, so I guess, at this point, it stays. We could all probably use an extra serving of veggies today, anyway, right?)
Anyway, a bit of photographic evidence of the Winter Wonderland can be found here at my Flickr.
