Dear You,
Get ready to experience slight to moderate déjà vu when you look at the newest addition to The Dreamy Giraffe Collection!
I think it's a pretty safe bet that you have seen this before. Kind of.
There are, after all, 90something pages of "Keep Calm" items on Etsy.
Ever since I first saw the "Keep Calm And Carry On" reproductions pop up and learned that the image (produced at the beginning of WWII) was in the public domain, I wanted to do my own (cute!) version of it.
I just couldn't figure out how to do it.
Enter The Wonderland Interpretations and my new love affair with coloring digitally...and suddenly, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how to do it.
Ta da!:
All four versions are available in the shop and I kinda love her. I definitely still love working digitally. I will never, ever give up canvases and paints completely...but this medium is opening doors and allowing me to get new work created more frequently...and not only that...but to actually turn ideas that I thought impossible into actual pieces you guys don't have to crawl into my head to see! And, like with these four little ladies, it quite easily lets me offer pieces in multiple hair/eye/skin color combos.
I have such a very, very long list of ideas and things I want to create...and it's so wonderful to finally see some of these thought bubbles coming to life!
So...which one is your favorite?
Keep calm and carry on, indeed,
P.S. Also, today, I've put my "There's Nobunny Like You" print, which has been absent for a while, back into the shop. It's nice and springy, so I thought it'd be nice to give it another chance!
P.S. to the P.S. If you want to read more about the origins of the "Keep Calm And Carry On" poster, you can do so right here!
I love all four versions of it. Awesome!
